A CHARTER ORDINANCE EXEMPTING THE CITY OF COLWICH, KANSAS, FROM THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-16,128, AND PROVIDING SUBSTITUTE PROVISIONS ON THE SAME SUBJECT.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF COLWICH, KANSAS:

Section 1. The City of Colwich, Kansas, by virtue of the power vested in it by Article 12, Section 5 of the Constitution of the State of Kansas, hereby elects and does exempt itself and make inapplicable to it K.S.A. 12-16,128, which applies to this city but is part of the enactment concerning certain municipalities, as enacted in Chapter 163 of the Session Laws of 2008, which enactment applies to this city but does not apply uniformly to all cities.
